500g Sarangani Bay Milkfish Belly, cut into 2×2 inches squares

Cooking oil

Minced garlic

Chopped onion

Thumb-sized luyang dilaw (turmeric), chopped

Bay leaves

Vinegar

Ground pepper

Sugar

Water

Procedure:
  1. Heat cooking oil in saute pan, saute garlic, onion, and turmeric.
  2. Add bangus chunks and fry until light brown in color.
  3. Add bay leaves, vinegar, pepper, sugar, and water
  4. Cook until sauce is reduced in half. Serve with rice
